Certificates issued by the Centre of Toxicology and Health Safety
Recently, fake certificates or certificates that have not been issued by any of the authorised NIPH staff have been appearing on websites and in circulation. In many cases, the original formal appearance of the document, including the information about the NIPH, has been retained, but the content of the text has been modified. However, there are also fake certificates on which only the basic information about the NIPH is correct, but the appearance and content do not correspond to the issued models. In these cases, the fake NIPH certificates “certify” the health safety of products that have never been evaluated by the NIPH or for which the NIPH is not responsible for the evaluation (e.g. medical devices or pharmaceuticals). There is reason to suspect that these products may be unsafe and could harm the health of users.
The Centre of Toxicology and Health Safety (CTZB) therefore publishes, from 2020, examples of the certificates it issues, which are now protected against forgery by a holographic mark, see Examples of certificates.
We would like to ask the public, if they discover an apparent imitation of NIPH certificate anywhere, especially on the Internet, to bring it to our attention, preferably electronically at ctzb@szu.cz.
