Department of Staphylococcal and Food-waterborne Bacterial Infections
The department is specialized in laboratory diagnostics of staphylococcal and food-waterborne bacterial infections.
The activities of the department cover the following major areas: a) identification of bacterial agents, b) detection of their toxins and other pathotype-defining markers, c) molecular typing of selected isolates.
The diagnostics are provided by three National reference laboratories:

The department is accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute.
